The Axean Pacific opens its Hawaiian Operations

HIGH TECH COMPANY OPENS LOCAL OFFICE IN HAWAII

October 9, 2001 - With all the recent downsizing and closures of Hawaii's High Tech Companies, its good to know that at least some are not only surviving, but also thriving in Hawaii. Axean Pacific, with offices in California, has been delivering computer networking and database application design projects in Hawaii for the past four years. These include several computer network infrastructure and clinical systems projects for Kaiser Permanente Hawaii and designing, implementing and supporting a web enabled, centralized database application for the Hawaii State Department of Health's Early Intervention Services Division.

Loretta Fuddy, Deputy Director, Administration for the Hawaii State Department of Health, says, "Axean Pacific has worked hard with all our users, contractors and service providers to design, develop and implement a unique application that we expect will greatly improve services to families in the Early Intervention Services Program. By centralizing data and business processes into an efficient, effective web based solution, we will greatly reduce the amount of time that our users have to spend in the office on paperwork, giving them more time in the field with our clients."

Axean Pacific is pursuing both the High Technology Business Tax Incentives and the Enterprise Zone Partnership offered to qualified High Tech Companies by the Hawaii State Department of Taxation and the Department of Business, Economic Development and Tourism.

Victor Tayao, CEO and President of Axean Pacific, Inc., says that the decision cycle for Hawaii businesses to implement new technology can be longer than on the mainland due to both economic and cultural influences. "However, it's a fact that all businesses need Information Technologies that improve productivity and therefore decrease cost, and Axean Pacific has developed a track record in Hawaii for being able to deliver these technologies in a professional and cost effective manner," says Tayao.

The Axean Group continues to be committed to the Hawaii market. They recently opened a local office and hired Pamela Rigg, as their Director of Pacific Operations. They currently have five full time employees working on various projects in Hawaii and expect to add several more when anticipated projects start in October.
