By using our proven methodologies and a toolkit-base approach, we offer a genuinely unique way to design and deploy IT infrastructure. Identifying your objectives and analyzing your needs, leads the way towards building a scalable infrastructure to create a stable and robust computing environment that works for you.
We use structured methods to manage the project life cycle and effectively manage distributed computing projects. Approaches are also adapted from typical structured development methodologies, including PMBOK, to meet the requirements of infrastructure projects. These methods are used to meet critical project deliverables including: enterprise systems planning and architecture, environmental design and modeling, deployment, and ongoing support and maintenance.
For API, the term infrastructure refers to the network, server and desktop technologies, and core applications that are used in the enterprise. The integration of these components in an Integration Environment creates first a baseline hardware and software personality applicable for all clients in the organization. This baseline is then used to build, customize, and manage a network environment that provides for effective software development, testing, and distribution.
This unique approach of prototyping, testing, and deploying the environment, allows for the change that inevitably happens within the enterprise as technology and business requirements evolve. By validating hardware and application co-existence in a test environment, this structured approach identifies issues that could affect the distributed computing and system delivery architecture as early as possible, and resolves them prior to deployment.
Consistent with other system engineering methodologies, API's approach consists of the following phases and stages:
Phase I: Project Definition
1. Business Requirements Development
2. Infrastructure or Readiness Review
Phase II: Design and Modeling
3. Infrastructure Design
4. Infrastructure Modeling
5. Component and Application Integration
6. Performance and Scalability
Phase III: Implementation
7. Quality Assurance and Testing
8. Infrastructure Implementation
9. Deployment and Training
Phase IV: Support and Review
10. Post-Installation Support and Review
