Hawaii Company to Deliver Military Project for Dell
HAWAII HIGH-TECH COMPANY TO DELIVER MILITARY PROJECT FOR DELL
October 16, 2001 - Axean Pacific, a Dell Alliance Partner, has been tapped by Dell to provide project management and engineering services in Hawaii on one of the largest Military projects in the world - the Navy Marine Corps Intranet (NMCI) Program. NMCI is a Department of the Navy program that will deliver comprehensive, end-to-end information services enterprise-wide to the United States Navy and United States Marine Corps through a common computing and communications environment. Axean Pacific technical staff will work under subcontract to Dell to build a network operating center and server farms in Hawaii.
Pamela Rigg, Axean Pacific's Director of Pacific Operations and Senior Program Manager says, "Axean Pacific is very excited to represent Dell Technical Consulting (DTC) on the project in Hawaii. As a Hawaii small business, this gives us the opportunity to hire a large team of local engineers and project managers, some of whom are even past Hawaii residents that have wanted to come home but until now have been unable to find suitable employment. And one domino effect is that we have been able to use other Hawaii small businesses, specifically Adecco Technical Hawaii, to help us recruit the team."
The Axean Pacific is a technology consulting company that specializes in Distributed Computing Infrastructure and Web Application Development projects. Additionally, Axean Pacific has delivered State of Hawaii projects including web application systems, a cluster server deployment at the Department of Health, and a review and analysis assessment for the Hawaii Teacher Standards Board.
